I'm wondering what people think about using velvet for wing sections. The section would be quilted with a layer of fused together cotton muslin peaces inside for structure. Its something I thought of for makeing projects that need more structure like fabric boxes and pot holder's.
The wings would have a look more like the actual wings of a butterfly or moth.

Hey faeries! How many of you are coming to Spoutwood? I hope to see some of you there... I'll be performing with one of my dance troupes. Though our "real" name is Transcendence Tribal, we're listed as "The Faerie Ring Dance Collective," and we'll be dancing twice on Saturday, once on Sunday.

I bought this great felt gnome hat from a seller on Etsy awhile back.... it's well made and lovely, but just doesn't look good on me personally, so I'm letting it go. Thought someone here might enjoy it. Large pointed hat in two layers of felt, dark brown, with felt cut-out feathers on the side. Will sell for $12 + $3 shipping, which is about a third of what I bought it for. Hardly been worn. If you're interested, comment here.

My name is Sarah--one of a wife and wife duo behind Glamourkin, and now The Fable Tribe. We're growing The Fable Tribe beyond just an Etsy shop and debuting its new blog today!
The Fable Tribe:
